Maddog Adventures is a privately owned and operated business that supports the economic development of rural communities in Timor-Leste through providing premium sustainable adventure tourism experiences. We specialise in mapping uncharted and new adventures and creating tourist ready products and tours that meet Australian industry standards. Our goal is to provide experiences that have a positive impact on Timor-Leste’s people, culture and natural environment, that bring you closer to nature and leave the places we visit better than we found them.
Maddog Adventures was officially registered in September 2020 and has been the successful recipient of a number of grants that support the development of adventure tourism in Timor-Leste. In 2021, we worked with USAid Tourism For All to develop and deliver our inaugural Adventure Tourism Foundation Course, and in 2022 we worked with The Asia Foundation to develop the niche adventure activities of canyoning and abseiling in the Dili and Aileu districts. Over the past 10 years Sam, in his role with a leading Melbourne school, has organised and run 26 school trips to Timor-Leste hosting 600+ students.
The company is registered in both Australia and Timor-Leste and also trades under the name Warburton Adventure Co, which provides group and private adventure tour experiences in the Yarra Valley.
