A newly chartered, beautiful and challenging canyon that requires a variety of canyoning techniques.

This stunning virtually untouched canyon offers a little bit of everything with several exhilarating abseils down stunning waterfalls, swims up to 20 metres, water jumps and lots of rock scrambling. The scenery varies from narrow chasms to wider open sections with lush tropical forest surrounds. Visiting Dare Canyon is no stroll in the park. It is a long, challenging but ultimately exhilarating day. Your adventure starts with a 45 minute drive up the windy and bumpy mountain pass to Dare. We enter the canyon via a steep downward track that passes through farmland and takes approx. 45 minutes to 1 hours on average to get to the top of the first abseil. Then it’s time to get wet! There are 6 abseil pitches ranging from 10 – 40m in length and several technical scrambling sections in between, so come prepared to use a variety of canyoning techniques. Dare Canyon is a highly rewarding experience suitable for fit, adventurous people.

"I can highly recommend a canyoning trip with Maddog Adventures. The scenery, waterfalls and rock formations are amazing and the area feels so untouched and remote. The guides were very professional and safety conscious. Thanks for showing us this stunning hidden slice of Timor."
